Senior Account Executive - Public Relations

The Lead PR is looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our dynamic team and drive impactful media relations for high-profile clients in the media and not-for-profit spacesAccount E. The ideal candidate will bring 3-5 years of PR experience, a proven ability to secure top-tier coverage, and strong writing and relationship-building skills. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, thinks creatively about story opportunities, and is eager to take ownership of client campaigns from strategy to execution.
Responsibilities:
Manage media relations and oversee daily client program responsibilities, ensuring consistent, high-quality support.
Write, edit, and finalize media and client-facing materials including press releases, briefing documents, pitch notes, and client updates.
Pitch and secure coverage in top-tier and trade outlets by cultivating strong relationships with journalists, editors, and producers.
Develop compelling story ideas and creative pitch angles tailored to client goals and media interest.
Participate in the planning, coordination, and execution of client campaigns, from strategy development to program roll-out.
Serve as a point of contact for day-to-day media and client communication, providing proactive counsel and updates.
Track media coverage and prepare reports to measure impact and inform client strategy.
Proactively identify and secure profile-building opportunities for clients, including awards, industry lists, and features.
Attend and support client events as needed, including press opportunities, industry functions, and on-site activations.
Keep a close pulse on current events, trends, and developments in entertainment and media to inform strategy and pitching.
Expected Experience/Qualifications:
3-5 years of PR, communications, or media relations experience with a proven track record of securing high-profile media placements.
Strong understanding of the media landscape, cultural trends, and current events, with the ability to translate them into timely client opportunities.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with sharp attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, working independently while collaborating effectively with team members.
Flexible and responsive, with the ability to monitor breaking news and support clients as needed, including outside traditional working hours.
Experience managing client relationships and providing thoughtful counsel.
Strong organizational skills
Creative problem-solver who can identify and leverage opportunities to drive client visibility.
Outgoing and friendly, with the ability to build rapport quickly with clients, colleagues, and media contacts.
Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides), Cision, TV Eyes, and other media research/monitoring tools.
